Not necessarily the traditional stuff, but more contemporary music. Does anyone have any suggestions of good bands/cds out there?
I love Na Leo Pilimehana and the Makaha Sons, and Iz! I also like Colon with Jake Shimabukuro.
Thanx!

Fri, August 27, 2004 - 1:33 PMYes! Keali'i Reichel! I saw him in concert when he did this free music festival thing in San Francisco. I loved his song about the Nami toad. LOL! -

Tue, September 7, 2004 - 10:14 AMI saw Hapa this weekend at E hula Mau -- but, listening to their CDs for the last ten years, didn't prepare me for them live --Barry does things with a guitar that are probably illegal in most states. Awesome!
Keola Beamer's Award winning DVD on slack key (ki ho`alu) is excellent.

Shilo Pa's "Leave some Land" -- real ono.
