Is there a storage yard for sailboats, on one of the islands.

I want to sail to Hawaii and I was wondering if there is a yard where they take boats out of the water and keep them for long term storage. I would like a safe place to put a 36 foot sailboat while I work and travel in Hawaii. I've heard marina space is almost nonexistant and long term anchorage is a bit dicey. Thanks, Tim
